Bibliometrics & Citations
Bibliometrics as a set of methods to quantitatively analyze scientific literatur uses the application of mathematics and statistical methods to books and other scientific articles in order to conduct citation analysis and content analysis. Among the bibliometric methods, the most popular are H-Index (Hirsch number) analysising citations (Citation Impact) as well as the Impact Factor measuring the average number of citations to recent articles published in the journal. There are many databases publishing bibliomterics indicators.
